Adding Sales Tax to Your IdeaRoom Site

IdeaRoom integrates with the Sales Tax service Zip-Tax to calculate sales tax based on a ZIP code or a specific address.

IdeaRoom integrates with Zip-Tax as a tax service only. We do not provide Zip-Tax with information regarding saved designs, which means any tax reporting capabilities of Zip-Tax are not supported with the IdeaRoom integration.

To enable sales tax for your site

  1. Go to the Zip-Tax.com pricing site.

  2. Click the Subscribe button under the Geo Basic Plan.

  3. Complete the requested information, including providing your email.

  4. When you receive the subscription email from Zip-Tax, forward it to your IdeaRoom Implementation Consultant. This email contains the API key required for integrating it with IdeaRoom.

  5. After your Implementation Consultant notifies you the integration is complete, test several addresses to make sure the sales tax calculation is as you expect.

 

You can set up a 30-day trial to ensure the integration works as expected. To discontinue your sales tax integration, simply email support@idearoom.com.
