Monitoring Performance of your Configurator
IdeaRoom’s Analyze Tab
All IdeaRoom customers now have the ability to explore their configurator's performance data using the Analyze tab. This feature allows users to review key performance statistics and unparalleled industry insights. Assess your business' most popular styles and sizes, review social share and AR usage, and check out how your configurator traffic stacks up against other carport businesses working with IdeaRoom.
The Analyze tab contains a slew of useful data that can assist you in more effectively marketing and selling your carports, determining how to best invest additional resources, and compare your success against that of the greater market. Available statistics in the Analyze tab include:

☑️ Cost per Submission: Your total subscription cost divided by submission count
☑️ Overall Rank: How your total number of designs compares to all other IdeaRoom clients in your industry
☑️ Tier Rank: How your total number of designs compares to IdeaRoom clients in your industry with the same size company as you
☑️ Current Month Submissions: Total number of saves, quotes, and purchases in the current month to date
☑️ Monthly Subscriptions Against Industry Average: Your submissions by month over time, separated by year and compared to the average submission performance of your entire industry
☑️ Top styles: Your most popular styles submitted by users
☑️ Top Sizes: Your most popular base sizes submitted by users

Incorporating IdeaRoom into Advertising Campaigns
A crucial component of advertising is monitoring conversions and ROI! IdeaRoom makes it easy to properly and thoroughly track the impact of your campaigns using ad parameters from Facebook and Google ads. Because of the guaranteed conversion rates produced by IdeaRoom configurators, they are an excellent landing page to use in your ad campaigns.
Simply let us know your Google or Facebook Ad parameters, and we will include the parameter and its value in design links created by your configurator. This will allow you to track the effectiveness of your ad campaigns through your complete sales and marketing workflows as customers land in the configurator and submit building designs.
NOTE: When registered with IdeaRoom, the ad parameters will also be included in the IdeaRoom webhook JSON payload. This means that you can ultimately tell which contacts came from which advertisement as we pass data to your CRM system!
Here's an example:
You’ve created a Google Ad marketing campaign with three parameters, and you want to determine how many leads generated by that campaign convert to closed sales.
You register these three parameters with IdeaRoom and indicate that you want the parameters to be included on any saves and in the webhook:
utm_source
utm_medium
utm_campaign
When a user opens IdeaRoom from a link associated with that campaign, IdeaRoom will “inherit” the parameters and include them on any design link saved by that user.
Then, you can use your existing marketing management tools to track performance of IdeaRoom leads within your existing infrastructure.
Beyond just ad tracking, IdeaRoom also makes it easy to capture links to different designs within the configurator. This allows you to send different ad campaigns to different building styles that you may wish use in targeting of particular demographics or audiences.
For example, market simple structural designs at lower price points to audiences in one geographic area, and larger, more expensive buildings to audiences in another.
Social Sharing + Boosted Posts = A Powerful Combo!
Custom building designs can now be instantly texted, emailed, or posted to social media directly from your 3D designer! Easily promote crafted designs to your online followers, or delight your customers by allowing them to share designs with their social networks. Each share links directly back to your IdeaRoom, boosting traffic and eliminating friction for your customers and salespeople.
Sharing options include SMS, email, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter, and the social sharing feature is included in all IdeaRoom service levels.
Because social sharing enables rapid-fire posting of new and enticing building designs to your Facebook feed, adding “boosting” is a quick, easy way to magnify your advertising. A Boosted Post is simply taking a regular Facebook post and spending a bit of money to promote it to people who may not have seen it organically. It is the fastest and easiest way to get your content in front of more people!
Why should I boost posts?
Organic reach on Facebook has dropped. The average post will only reach a small fraction of the people who follow your Facebook page. Boosting a post helps you:
Target based on age, interests and geography
Turn a post into an ad within minutes, without having to get into Facebook Ads Manager
Quickly see what type of content is working, and what isn’t

Here’s what we recommend for the ideal post:
A nice building image
A brief description of the building and its possible uses
A link to the building design
A call to action that encourages them to design their own building
With the exception of the call to action button (which you will apply when you set up the boosted post in Facebook), all of these parameters are already in your posts shared directly from IdeaRoom.
Boosted posts are great for targeting people within your surrounding area. We generally boost our posts for a week or so at anywhere from $7 - $10 per day!
NOTE: Boosted posts on Facebook will also populate on the Instagram platform.
