Below are the frequently asked questions about updating your base pricing in IdeaRoom. For assistance with other pricing updates (or general site updates), contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView.

Why can’t I see the Pricing tab in SalesView?

The Pricing tab is shown only for IdeaRoom Site administrators. Administrators are users with Admin permissions, assigned on the Users tab.

Why did my pricing change unexpectedly while I was making updates?

IdeaRoom supports concurrent editing between our IdeaRoom Support team and our clients. If the IdeaRoom Support team makes a change that impacts a cell you also changed, their update will overwrite yours. This should rarely happen. The IdeaRoom Support team will receive a warning of your changes prior to updating your site and can confirm with you before finalizing their changes.


Why can’t I add a price in a grayed out cell?

A grayed out cell means that size doesn’t currently exist in IdeaRoom. Base price editing does not currently allow you to update the available sizes. To add or remove a size, contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView. Once the size has been added by IdeaRoom, you can edit or update the pricing for that size.


Why doesn’t anything happen when I paste?

If the number of copied cells exceed the number of cells available in the pricing table, the paste will not be performed and your current values will remain.


Why isn’t the Paste option appearing on my right-click menu?

The right-click menu for the IdeaRoom tables do not support a Paste option. To complete a paste, use the keyboard shortcut keys for paste (see above).


What if I accidentally pasted over the wrong values?

You can use the keyboard shortcut key for Undo to restore your previous values. (For Windows: Ctrl+Z; For Mac: Command-Z)


What if I want to discard all my changes and restore the previous pricing?

If you haven’t yet published, you can click the Revert button and all pending changes will be discarded.

Note that if multiple people have made changes to the pricing table, the Revert button will discard ALL pending changes, not just those you’ve made. Pending changes are indicated on the pricing sheets with an orange bar on the left of the sheet title.


What if I published pricing changes but want to restore my the original pricing?

To restore a previous version of your pricing, contact IdeaRoom Support using SalesView. Our Support Team will be able to restore the previous pricing table for you.


How do I add sizes or styles to the Base tab?

Contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView.


I get a Forbidden request error when I try to publish. How do I fix it?

You may see a red Forbidden request error displayed in the lower right corner when something unexpected occurs during publishing. Refresh the page and then attempt to publish again. If this error persists and you are unable to publish, contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView.


How do I update the names of my regions or price books?

Each pricing tab includes one or more pricing regions (or price books). If the names shown are not your preferred names, contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView and they can update the names of these regions or price books. After they update your data, the new titles will display.


Will I be able to make updates to other prices eventually?

Yes, we are currently working on enabling more editing by our clients. We will be updating SalesView throughout the year with more pricing editing capabilities. Stay tuned!
