  • Roof style (for example, vertical or regular)

  • Metal gauge (for example, 12 or 14 gauge)

  • Leg style (for example, single or double)

  • Snow load

  • Style (for example, commercial or agriculture)

  • Style (for example, Utility or Barn)

  • Siding (for example, LP SmartSide or Metal)

Any price adjustments made on the Adjustments secondary tab under Pricing will be made on top of these published base prices.

Getting to know the Base tab

The Base tab displays your existing pricing as price sheets on the left (all combinations of the attributes) and pricing tables in the pricing window (one per region or price book).

How your base prices are organized reflects how your data was implemented in IdeaRoom.

IdeaRoom supports updating existing base prices only. To add or remove a size or style, contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView.

The Base tab also includes a Revert, Preview, and Publish button.

  • The Revert button discards all pending changes made by anyone on the Base price tab.

  • The Preview button displays a version of your IdeaRoom configurator with the prices applied, so you can verify the pricing is accurate.

  • The Publish button updates your IdeaRoom site with the changes. You will be prompted to include a description of your changes before publishing. Use this to describe your changes to create a version of your pricing set.

You can also edit the Pricing Sheet Category Labels to make it easier to identify your pricing tables. Select the pricing sheet label, enter the new label, and select Save. Select Publish to update your new labels.

There are two view options: Grid and Row. You can change these using the View button in the upper right corner of the pricing window.

Working with table cells

Three types of cells may exist within a table:

  • Cells with values represent existing base prices for the related sizes

  • Blank cells represent sizes that have no base price in the IdeaRoom data set

  • Gray cells cannot be edited because those sizes do not exist in the IdeaRoom data set

  • Gray text within white cells indicates that the pricing matches the pricing in the default pricing set

You may edit cells with values and blank cells. You cannot edit gray cells. Contact IdeaRoom Support via SalesView to enable these sizes.

Using the right-click menu

Right-click within a pricing cell for additional features, including the following:

  • Copy. Places a copy of the selected cells on your device’s clipboard. These cells can be pasted into another application like Excel.

  • Copy with Width Headers. Same as Copy but with additional headers.

  • Add Note. Annotates a cell within the data set. This note will be available on the cell for all users, as long as the cell exists in the IdeaRoom.

  • Export. Allows you to export the table in CSV or Excel format.
