Capturing Leads with the Lead Generation Pop-Up
Typically, you receive a qualified marketing lead from IdeaRoom when a customer saves a final design via email or to their Wish List (if configured to require email). These leads are your best indicator that a buyer is ready to engage with you on their perfect building.
You may also want to capture warm leads of customers who have started using IdeaRoom but may not have yet finalized a design. These leads will create a pipeline of customers that may be well suited for drip campaigns, where you periodically send them updates about promotions or new products.
Turn on a request-for-email prompt using our Lead Generation Pop-Up option, enabled within SalesView. The Lead Generation Pop-Up will display at a specified interval and collect an email address only. These leads are displayed in SalesView with the Submit Status as Lead Gen Popup.
To Turn On Your Lead Generation Pop-Up
In SalesView, select the Sites tab.
Check the Enable Lead Generation Pop-Up checkbox, in the Lead Generation Pop-Up section.
Select a time delay option. This determines when the pop-up will be shown:
No Time Delay. The pop-up will be shown as soon as the customer opens IdeaRoom. If your site also requires a ZIP code or State selection, the email field will be added to the location pop-up.
After 30 Seconds. The pop-up will be shown after the customer has spent 30 seconds on your site.
After 1 Minute. The pop-up will be shown after the customer has spent 1 minute on your site.
Preview and then Publish the updates.
Due to security restrictions by some browsers, we can’t prompt the customer for their email if they attempt to close the browser.
Customize Your Lead Generation Pop-Up
For Option A, you may choose to require an email address before the customer can proceed with a design. Requiring an email address will ensure you capture the lead; however, you will have more customers who choose not to move forward, causing a higher bounce rate.
For options B and C, customize the pop-up with a Title and Message. These will always display for these two options, so confirm that the content is as you prefer for your marketing style.
Access Emails Saved Via the Lead Generation Pop-Up
Leads captured via the Lead Generation Pop-Up will be saved to SalesView, in the Leads tab with other types of leads. The Leads will be shown with a Submit Status of “Lead Gen Popup.”
These leads will include the same building design information as other leads, such as the building style and total estimate. However, because the customer was prompted to provide their email address prior to completing their design and selecting Submit, the designs for these leads aren’t complete. Likely, the customer has only begun their design.
If you don’t see the Submit Status in SalesView, select the Columns button in the upper right corner to display a list of the columns available. Enable the Submit Status column to display this in your view.
