Understanding Local Storage
Modern Layout |
Designs that are listed in the Saved Buildings page are stored in the browser's local storage. Local storage is not in the cloud. Because we are using the browser's local storage, it's important to understand how local storage works:
Saved designs will only be displayed on the browser and machine used to save the design.
For example: If a user saves designs using their Chrome browser on their Mac, those designs will only be displayed on their Chrome browser on their Mac. They will not be displayed if the user opens their Mac's Safari browser or if they open the Chrome browser on their phone.
If you navigate to Clear browsing data | Clear your cookies and other site data on your Chrome browser, your list of designs will be cleared from the Saved Buildings page on that browser.
If you disable cookies, local storage will not work.
