Modern Layout - Default Page

Note: Both layout options support Real Landscapes feature (available for Pro customers only).

Workflow

Classic Layout

The Configurator home page contains up to two CTA buttons from the choices of save, quote, or checkout functions. All shopper activity takes place on the home page.

When a CTA button is selected…

  • If the Save or Quote button is selected, a popup dialog appears. Then, the shopper enters contact & additional info as needed, and selects Email Link or Submit. A Print option will also be available if enabled for your business.

  • If the Checkout button is selected, a series of dialog prompts appear for the shopper to complete, then selects Submit or Email Contract. A Print option will also be available if enabled for your business.

On all CTA buttons, both the shopper and your business receive an automated email with diagram, specs, price, and a link to the saved design, and a new record is created in SalesView.

From the email, the shopper can:

  • Start the buy process

  • Use the link to return to the design

Modern Layout

The configurator home page contains one CTA button. If your service does not include checkout (only included in Pro) or your business does not have checkout enabled, the button will be a quote function.

When a CTA button is selected…

A popup dialog appears, and the shopper enters contact info & additional info as needed, then clicks Submit or applicable button text depending on your configuration. A Print option will appear on the dialog as well if enabled for your business.

Both the shopper and your business will receive an automated email with diagram, specs, price, and a link to the saved design, and a new record is created in SalesView.

From the email, the shopper can:

  • Start the buy process

  • Use the link to return to the design

When theSave to List button is selected…

The design will be saved in the Saved Buildings page. Shoppers can save as many designs as needed in their Saved Buildings page.

The Saved Buildings page is a new feature that has been added to store multiple designs for review and comparison.

Saved designs can be accessed by the person who saved the design, by clicking Saved Buildings in the top menu bar on the home page. The number in the heart icon shows how many designs have been saved.

Shoppers can easily move back and forth between the Saved Buildings page and the Home page to save multiple designs for comparison and quotes.

For the designs on the Saved Buildings page, up to three CTA buttons can be displayed, typically quote and checkout functions to get a quote or begin the buying process are utilized. A sharing button is also provided, plus an option to remove the design.

The CTA buttons in the Saved Buildings page function the same way as the CTA button in the Modern Layout home page as described above.

Note: When a saved design is submitted for quote or purchased using CTAs in the Saved Buildings page, it will be removed from the list in the Saved Buildings page.

NEW OPTION to capture soft leads

Modern Layout adds an option to capture soft leads when the shopper selects ♡ Save to List. You can configure your site in SalesView to “Capture customer information on save” via a quick popup to get a contact name plus email and mobile phone when each design is saved.

The contact info dialog generates an email to your business plus an email and SMS text message (if selected) to the shopper, and creates a SalesView lead record. Emails contain a welcome message which includes the URL link to access the design. SMS text messages contain only the URL.

NOTE: Soft lead capture is optional. If you prefer, you can skip the feature and capture contact information via the Saved Buildings page CTA buttons only.

Understanding Local Storage

Modern Layout

Designs that are listed in the Saved Buildings page are stored in the browser's local storage. Local storage is not in the cloud. Because we are using the browser's local storage, it's important to understand how local storage works:

  1. Saved designs will only be displayed on the browser and machine used to save the design.

    1. For example: If a user saves designs using their Chrome browser on their Mac, those designs will only be displayed on their Chrome browser on their Mac. They will not be displayed if the user opens their Mac's Safari browser or if they open the Chrome browser on their phone.

  2. If you navigate to Clear browsing data | Clear your cookies and other site data on your Chrome browser, your list of designs will be cleared from the Saved Buildings page on that browser.

  3. If you disable cookies, local storage will not work.
