How to Add Emails to a Safe Email List

From time to time emails sent from your IdeaRoom tools end up in junk, its maddening and can slow down the speed of your business. Here are some tips & tricks we have learned through supporting our clients over the years.

 

Gmail

  1. Navigate to the email in your Junk/Spam folder

  2. Open the email from the trusted sender

  3. Click on the three vertical dots (more options) located on the top right corner of the email

  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Add [sender's name] to Contacts”

  5. A contact card will appear with the sender's email address automatically filled in. You can make any necessary adjustments and click "Save" to add the sender to your contact list

Outlook (Desktop Application)

  1. Navigate to the email in your Junk/Spam folder

  2. Open the email from the sender you want to add to your safe list

  3. Right-click on the email and select "Junk" from the context menu

  4. Choose "Never Block Sender" to add the sender to your safe list

  5. A confirmation message will appear. Click "OK" to confirm the addition

Outlook

  1. Navigate to the email in your Junk/Spam folder

  2. Open the email from the sender you want to add to your safe list

  3. Click on the three dots (more options) located on the top right corner of the email

  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Add to Safe senders."

  5. The sender's email address will now be added to your safe list

Yahoo Mail

  1. Navigate to the email in your Junk/Spam folder

  2. Open the email from the trusted sender

  3. Click on the sender's name or email address to open the contact card

  4. Click on "Add to contacts" to add the sender to your contact list

Apple Mail (Mac)

  1. Navigate to the email in your Junk/Spam folder

  2. Open the email from the trusted sender

  3. Click on the sender's name or email address to open the contact card

  4. Click on "Add to VIPs" to add the sender to your VIP list
