Retaining Customer Information with Saved Designs

SalesView has recently been updated so links opened from within SalesView retain the customer information that was saved with the design. This highly-requested capability ensures the security of customer information because designs are secured with a SalesView login, which requires both an email address and password. (Links opened outside of SalesView will not restore the customer information.)

This capability is particularly useful when collaborating with a customer on a design prior to order.

To Open a Saved Design with Customer Information

  1. Login to SalesView. If you don’t have a SalesView login, please contact support@idearoominc.com. SalesView is available to clients who pay an IdeaRoom subscription. Clients who use IdeaRoom as a dealer of an existing client do not have access to SalesView at this time.

  2. On the Leads tab, click the link icon in the Design column:

The saved design will be opened in IdeaRoom as it was configured by the customer. When you click the Email Link or Submit for Quote buttons (which may be labeled differently for your IdeaRoom site), the customer information will be included in the form fields when opened.

If you update the design and email or submit the quote again, the same customer information will be used and the reference number will indicate the version (for example, by appending a “-1” or “-2” to the reference number).
