  • Making Temporary Pricing Adjustments

The Adjustments tab is used for making temporary changes to the pricing for your IdeaRoom configurator. These temporary changes might reflect a sale on certain buildings or a surcharge for unexpected material cost spikes.

Changes made using the Adjustments tab do not change your underlying pricing in IdeaRoom. They are layered on top of existing prices and shown to your buyers in IdeaRoom. Removing them by selecting No Change will restore original pricing.

IdeaRoom supports two approaches to pricing adjustments: an explicit dollar amount shown to buyers in the Totals section of emails or quotes or an “invisible” adjustment that is applied to each price shown in the Details section of emails or quotes.

To remove any pricing adjustments select No Change.

Currently, no history of pricing adjustments are tracked or maintained. Selecting No Change will eliminate any existing pricing adjustment with no Undo option.

Displaying an explicit surcharge or discount

Select the Apply a surcharge or discount option to show an explicit value in the Total section of Your Estimate, as shown here:

Displaying an invisible adjustment to existing prices

Select the Change prices of line items option to display the adjustment as part of the existing line items shown in the details section, as shown here:

You cannot have multiple options applied simultaneously. For example, you cannot change the displayed price of line items at the same time you have am explicit discount.
